Terms of Use, Cancellation, Privacy & Other Policies


General Policy

CHI provides services to you subject to the following conditions. If you do not accept these terms of use, you may not use or access this site and you may not use or attend any CHI services, programs or classes.


 

The Chikly Health Institute (CHI) is managed for numerous programs and services by the International Association of Healthcare Educators (IAHE).

If you paid another company directly, including IAHE or any other organization, for a CHI program, class, product or service, please do not contact CHI but refer directly to this other organization for any information, cancellation and all applicable policies.

CHI is simply providing an educational service. CHI is not responsible in any way, including financially, and under any circumstances, for any services, material, asset or money given to any another organization through mail, internet, phone, in person or in any other way. Please always contact this organization for reimbursement, transfer of money, or any other services or policies related to programs, services, material or education provided by CHI. Thank you for your understanding.

CHI Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policies vary by specific course.  In most cases, tuition is fully transferable up to 7 days prior to the start of the class. Within 7 days, a $100.00 administrative fee will apply. Tuition is fully refundable up to 30 days prior to the start of the class. Refund requests must be made in writing within 12 months of the registration. Cancellation policies may vary for certain classes such as those held in Big Sur, California, taught by curriculum developers, dissection courses, courses held outside North America or classes that are privately sponsored. Cancellation Notification

CHI will not be held responsible for cancelled email addresses, non-functioning phone lines to make proper contact with registered parties for seminar change or cancellation notifications. Any individual that does not notify CHI of email, phone number or address changes will be responsible financially if any change in schedule, cancellations, or interruptions in scheduled event occur.

 

Attendance to CHI seminars

As a practitioner using therapies taught through the Chikly Health Institute you are expected to adhere to the highest professional standards.

Scope of Practice

Attendance at a Chikly Health Institute program does not certify you with any hands-on/manual therapy license.You must work within your professional scope of practice and abide by the rules and/or laws that govern healthcare practices in your applicable area of practice (i.e., city, state, province or country).

Special Needs

If special arrangements are required for an individual with a disability to attend a Chikly Health Institute program, please inform us of any special needs at least 60 days in advance at 1 888-333-1055 or email the Chikly Health Institute.

Attendance Disclaimer

Due to the litigious society in which we live, we ask students to agree with the following disclaimer. If you do not accept these terms of use, you may not attend these services or programs.

Attendance at a Chikly Health Institute serives or programs requires you to hold The Chikly Health Institute (CHI), its staff and its representatives not liable and harmless from litigation for any injury, accident or undesirable effect that may occur during the servie or program, or from the class equipment, and/or from other attendees.

This is to include, but is not limited to, faulty elevators, slippery stairs or walkways, collapsing tables, breaking chairs and/or falling light fixtures. If you would like to bring your own equipment, including a treatment table, sheets, etc..you are encouraged to do so.

Please check the legs and strength of a table before lying on it. The Chikly Health Institute and its representatives are not liable for any injury, accident or undesirable effect that may occur due to any equipment brought by you or another party. This includes, but is not limited to, a treatment table that may be shared or be the cause of an accident or injury.

Participant to CHI programs also agree that The Chikly Institute and its representatives are not held liable for any inappropriate behavior or actions by any persons encountered at the seminar. This is to include, but is not limited to, hotel or meeting-site staff, other participants, teaching assistants and CHI staff. If you encounter any inappropriate behavior, please immediately notify the Staff of CHI or directly contact the office of CHI at 1 888-333-1055.

No Filming, No Solicitation Notice

In order to keep a quality learning environment, no filming, solicitation, product sales from students will be allowed during the seminars.

Airline Reservation

CHI reserves the right to postpone or cancel an event, we recommend not to purchase airline tickets until you have checked with us to be sure event is confirmed.

Confirmation will be final 21 days before seminar.

 

Using CHI Online Community

When you send emails to us, you are communicating with us electronically and you consent to receive communications from us electronically.

As a condition of use, you promise to use this site only for lawful purposes and in compliance with the Terms of Use. You understand and agree that CHI is not under any obligation to control, monitor or verify the statements made by members of CHI’s on-line community. If CHI discovers that you are violating these Terms of Use or otherwise making unacceptable use of CHI, CHI may terminate your account.

Examples of Unacceptable Uses of CHI Online Community

1) Contribute any content that is infringing, libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive, offensive or otherwise violates any law or right of any third party. Abuse, harass, humiliate, deceive, threaten, impersonate, intimidate or engage in any other abusive behaviors with those who comment on CHI.

2) Post any personal communications from anyone without their consent

3) Post or transmit, or cause to be posted or transmitted, any communication or solicitation designed or intended to obtain password, account, or private information from any CHI user.

4) Create or submit unwanted email to any other CHI users or any URL;

5) Submit stories or comments linking to affiliate programs, multi-level marketing schemes, or off-topic content or any other system.

6) Violate any laws in your jurisdiction. If you are an international user, you agree to comply with all local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content

7) With the exception of accessing RSS feeds, you will not use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access the site for any purpose without our express written permission. Additionally, you agree that you will not:

(a) take any action that imposes, or may impose in our sole discretion an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure;

(b) interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site or any activities conducted on the Site; or

(c) bypass any measures we may use to prevent or restrict access to the Site;

CHI may remove any content and CHI accounts at any time for any reason (including, but not limited to, upon receipt of claims or allegations relating to such content), or for no reason at all. To report Terms of Use abuse, please email the Chikly Health Institute.


Privacy Policy

We understand everyone’s legitimate concerns about privacy. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your visits to this website.

This policy has been developed by the Chikly Health Institute to address this important matter.

 

Collection and disclosure of information:

To ensure that we are able to communicate effectively with visitors on our web site, we collect some information that can be directly associated with a specific person.

We maintain e-mail lists to keep interested, eligible individuals informed about important CHI topics. We configure our list server software to refuse to divulge the email addresses of our list subscribers to anyone other than those whom we authorize.

We will not sell or lend your information to any third party outside of our affiliates (for example, a future new CHI curriculum, a possible Chikly Foundation, IAHE, etc..).

You may always change your preference at any time for follow-up contacts by informing us directly.

We restrict access to Personal Information to those who need such access in the course of their duties for us. Your own efforts to protect against unauthorized access play an important role in protecting the security of your personal information. You should be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer, and always log out of any site when viewing personal information.

Please contact us immediately if you suspect any fraud or deception related to CHI privacy and security procedures.

Children's privacy: Because we care about the safety and privacy of children online, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. Our site is not intended to solicit information of any kind from children under 13.
