Pilot Study Investigating Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI) in Veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan: Dayton Area August 2010

We are organizing a pilot study in the Dayton area (Yellow Springs) in August 2010.

The Chikly Health institute will provide treatments at no charge to about 40 selected veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan to evaluate the effects of the Brain work on their symptoms.

Three professional researchers are working with CHI to make this happen, as well as numerous therapists and volunteers. Each veteran will be assessed by a volunteer neurologist before and after receiving 3 treatment sessions.

There will be no treatment costs to the veterans who participate.

Your support is greatly appreciated in supporting our efforts to help our young veterans regain a high quality of life.

There are many ways that you may be able to assist this project as a volunteer, depending on your training and experience including by identifying organizations that may be able to help CHI recruit veterans interested in participating.

More details will be available after the research protocol is reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB), which will ensure that the protocol is consistent with clinical research standards.
